My life with kitties

Neil and I had a great time in Charleston. The opening of the show Women painting Women was a real high point for me. The intensity of the passion in those paintings was beautiful, and the quality of work was also amazing. It should be in a museum. But I loved Robert Lange's gallery and he and is wife were so gracious to Neil and I. We were sent a photo of us taken the next day in the park, during the painting in the park morning. It was really cold, but I was so happy to be there with all those wonderful artists and our good friend Karin Jurick. We met some really nice people and some cool dogs too.

Unfortunately, a few days after we returned home, our sweet angel kitty, Scout, died unexpectedly, and it's been a challenge to get used to not having her here. But in a weird way, I still feel her all through the house. For those of us who work from home, our pets are such constant companions. She was such a happy cat, I just know she continues to find joy wherever she is. Thank you everyone for your kind comments on Neil's blog and facebook. All those wonderful thoughts made this much easier. Here are some new paintings I've been working on. I'm trying to add more animals to my compositions. It's so much fun!

New painting,  Accidental Scholar, 36x36, will be available at 16 Patton Gallery in Asheville NC
