Robert Deyber Museum show

Call of the Wild III
I'm so pleased to tell everyone about my friend Bob Deyber having his 1st museum show.  It will be at the Stamford Museum in Connecticut starting Sept.4, 2010. Bob and I became fast friends when we were showing our work at Heaven Blue Rose gallery in Roswell GA. He is one of the most creative people I have ever known. Talking art with Bob is like a religious experience. The idea's start flying, and before you know it you are in a creative frenzy! If any of you has a chance to go to this show and meet him, or see his work in his galleries, don't miss it. Good luck Bob!

Mountain Sparrow

12x12 oil-gallerywrap hardboard

This is one of my favorite themes. The north georgia/north carolina mountains are so beautiful. There's a distant haze and in the morning the sky has an almost yellow cast. And a sparrow is so common and yet so endearing. This painting will be offered for auction on ebay, to bid on this painting click here.

Beach Hat

12x12 oil on hardwood panel that is gallerywrap

I love painting straw hats, it's like weaving with paint. No precise lines or measurements. The oceans are like that too. Painting water is good for your soul. This painting is 12"x16", it's up for auction on ebay
starting tonight. It's painted -oil/ on a gallery wrap hardwood surface.  To bid on this painting click here

Watermelon Beach

I've decided this week to paint some smaller paintings for ebay. It's been so fun to work on small paintings that I can finish in a few days instead of a few weeks.

This is a crop of a similar painting that I painted a few years ago. This painting is 12"x16", painted on a gallery wrap canvas. If you would like to bid on this painting click here.

I have really enjoyed receiving your comments on my blog! Thank you so much for writing. Neil has been helping me so much with the technical aspects of the blog. I'm hoping I'll get better at this quickly!

Back to the Farm

Hello everyone, this is my 2nd blog post. I'm still new at this so hopefully I'll say wonderful things to inspire you all.

This is my latest painting, it's still wet on the easel. It's called On The Wing, it's 40"x40" painted on gallery wrap, oil on canvas. I had so much fun painting the landscape out of the window. Such a cute little farm, and happy birds. It's a great day on this fictitious farm. Temp. 78 degrees, gentle breeze. Apple pie for dessert!  I'm planning on sending this painting to my gallery in Atlanta, Mason Murer Fine Art. Hope you guys like it.

Remembering A Connection

This is the first post of my new blog. I just completed the painting above, titled Remembering A Connection, and shipped it to Wynne/Falconer Gallery on Cape Cod. It's painted on a 30 x 30 gallery wrapped canvas.
